What would you do to see this headline in the newspaper? Would you raise your voice and call world leaders into action? Would you tell our government that enough is enough and that it’s time to see justice done? Would you be bold and Impact the world with the values of God’s Kingdom?
Impact challenges and equips you to take six easy steps to find your voice and make your mark for God’s Kingdom. Each step will inform and guide you as you speak out for God’s heart of love and justice to be reflected in the political world. This might mean visiting your MP, holding a lobby event in your local area, or writing to a member of the European Parliament… We’ll identify the right time to speak out, and the right person to speak to, and then help and pray for you as you take up the challenge!
The G8 Summit on July 7th – 9th presents a great opportunity for you to make an Impact. One of Micah Challenge’s members, World Vision, has identified three global poverty themes on which we can have an Impact at the Summit, and we’re challenging you to lobby your MP on one of these themes (in our experience it’s difficult to lobby on lots of issues at once!)
If you’d like to focus on global poverty as a whole issue in itself we would suggest you choose ‘International Aid’, as this is an extremely wide ranging theme covering the breadth of global poverty issues. If you’d rather take on a more specific theme we’d advise you go for HIV or Health Care.
