G20 meeting in France, November 2011

France is hosting the meeting of G20 leaders in November this year. The French President is keen to discuss various issues that would help fight poverty. One of them is transparency and accountability in financial transactions. Corrupt practices and bribery rob citizens of profits and taxes that could be used to reduce poverty.
You could write a letter to the French Embassy in your nation, encouraging them to push through measures that were agreed last year. Please use the letter template provided and personalise it.
Prayer points for now (others will follow):
1) Pray for churches in France as they pray and take action on behalf of Christians around the world.
2) Pray for the service being held in Cannes on October 30th. Many Christian leaders will be there and Gordon Showell-Rogers, the Associate Secretary General of the WEA will be a special guest. Pray that they have a bold and prophetic message for churches and political leaders
3) Pray that the voice of the Church will be listened to with respect
