Meeting my Masters

Joels ImageI'm on my way to our Micah Challenge International Board meeting. Some of the leading Christians from the international NGO and church world meet with me and colleagues twice yearly to evaluate, challenge and affirm the work we are doing together in Micah Challenge - across our 40 national campaigns as well as with the growing number of churches and organisations which are being drawn into the fight against extreme poverty.

And this will be a really important time, as we think about some of the new tools we have been developing to try and galvanize Christian response to biblical advocacy as well as lay down some strategic tracks for our work over the next 4 years up to 2015. And we also plan to talk about our global coalition on corruption, EXPOSED, which is planned for 2013 and in which we want to offer some real challenges to the church, people in business - as well as to our governments.

The good thing about being a part of a global Christian movement where everyone around the table has signed up to the same agenda, is that although they are our legal bosses, we are also meeting with friends who are brothers and sisters in Christ.
